Godot 10/19/014

1) Write about 10 video.
We are all one, one way or another, the book kind of touches on that. We think the people in the book are crazy but really how many times have we spent just waiting showing that at one point or another in our lives we are all alike.

2) What do  you think of Pozzo and Lucky? Why are they in the play? Choose some moments when you write about them.
I am not 100% sure why they are in the play but when Didi  mentions that they know who they are but Lucky and Pozzo didn't remember them I felt as if that was a very important part in the book. Showing in a way how others can change in life and with that change they lose everything around them even the people they knew, since Pozzo didnt even recognize Didi and Gogo. Lucky had turned into a walking zombie he clearly had changed very much.
3) How is Didi different than Gogo?
Didi seems just as lost as Gogo but has his head screwed on a little tighter. Gogo is just lost all the time with every sentence coming out of his mouth being a question. He doesn't know the difference from his left to his right. Didi seems just as lost but kind of purposely, as if being around Gogo has made it easier for him to behave lost.

4) What are these two talking about, for what, for why?
I cannot be for sure on what they were talking about, but it was empty words they were speaking. They were waiting for Godot which could have been anyone or anything and to fill that wait they just spoke words not sentences but words. Having to wait so long had been making them anxious and to make it pass fast and feel better words were being through out of their mouths. Everything was going to be okay as long as they waited, and said whatever to pass the time.

5) How is your life like Didi and Gogo's?
Its constant waiting with gibberish being thrown at us in every moment. Its always waiting just wait for the right moment, the right school, the right person the right everything and in between waiting we are so anxious for it to end, everything else feels like a mess with endless words.

6) If this play is not about God, claim 3 other things, ideas that the play is actually about? Point to parts of the play to support your claim.
I think its about what you want it to be, in many ways I can see it being about God and then I can see it about just other things. The waiting can be seen as the feeling people have when waiting for God to make something happen while it can also been see as just like making you wait. The constant "I'll be there tomorrow" by Godot can be seen as you always expecting God everything and still being disappointed or it can be you always expecting great things in life but always being disappointed. I think depending what mood you are in is what you will see.
7) Is this play cynical? What makes us insecure? How much do people act out of their insecurity? What's the flip side of insecurity?
No because they waited, it really wasnt for their pleasure that they waited. They had trust in that Godot would get there sooner or later.
